Hi, I'm Frank. I wanted to create a tool to create letters with a wide variety of fonts to easily export to STL for 3D printing. I'm aware there are many options for this out there, but I wanted one tool to do what I wanted with little feature creep. So I made this...

After I got it working pretty well, I thought others may also enjoy it. However, I'm not sharing it widely because I don't have the $$$ to pay for increased server costs.

A few things to note:

  1. After you export, toss the file in Cura or your favorite slicer. It will render kinda funny, but in my experience once it is sliced it works fine.
  2. Not all fonts work, but most do. If they don't, the export will be grayed out. You get what you get, so don't throw a fit.
  3. The viewer is only 2D. This is because the JavaScript library, Three.js, although amazing, is a total pain in the tail when it comes to font rendering. Apparently there is a way to convert non-Three.js fonts client-side on the fly, but again, I tried that and I picked my battles according to the time suck that trying to get that to work is.
  4. With that said, stuff like the back plate feature needs to be fiddled with to get the results you want.
  5. One of the nicest things I like is taking just one letter and exporting it one at a time to create large signs.

Anywho... enjoy! And if you wanna help with these server costs, toss me whatever here:
